●『衆生本来仏なり（しゅじょうほんらいほとけなり）』
我々は本来から“仏性（ぶっしょう）”を完全に具えている、と白隠禅師の坐禅和讃の冒頭に出てくる。さて、「如何なるか“仏”」と私が白隠禅師に問うと、禅師は如何なる表現をされるか。今日は、ネット禅士各位に問いたい。
また、それを禅士に問えば何と応えるか。
さらに、如何なる者も“同じ表現”になってはならない、と拙僧が付け加えたとすると、その真意は何か。
「本来仏なり」なら、仏性に始まりはない。始まりがないとするなら終わりもない。父母未生以前から孫子誕生以後も同じ。即ち、本具仏性は永劫不変。となれば、核攻撃も、老・病・死や地震など問題外。地球が壊れても微動だにしない。『不生不滅、不垢不浄、不増不減』と般若心経にある。
さて、応えよ！
但し、頭を使うなよ。言葉を使うなよ。
